One Foggy Rainy Day

A strange man I did meet one foggy rainy day
I was told it was to wet to work for me, that was just ok.
I was wanting to get a windshield and handlebars for my Hog
So I jumped into my truck and set off into the fog.
I was sippin' on a 40oz then behind me, shit I see a cop.
I turned off quick at a weathered sign, RD's American Bike Shop.
It really didn't look like much, at least from what I saw.
But I figured I would check it out, it had to be better than facing the law.
The place sure seemed deserted, except for one old dude in the shop.
I then began to wonder was this a wise stop?
The old guy shook my hand and said, "Hello my name is RD".
"By the hat you are wearing, you're a Harley owner I see".
He hollered out, "come on Ghost" and invited me inside
We were soon talking about handlebars and drag pipes for my ride.
He shuffled books like a Vegas dealer, the old dude knew his shit.
I saw 500 different handlebars, I thought he would never quit.
He showed me so much stuff that my head, it started spinning.
I was being put under a spell by his talking and his grinning.
I had to get up and get outside, I needed some fresh air.
I was getting to close to spending unmade pay checks inside there.
As the rain washed away the spell he had cast.
RD came out saying, "no need to leave so fast".
The little dog beside him, man they sure looked weird.
Then I saw it plain as day, they both had the same kinda beard.
"Sorry," I said, "but there's somewhere else I really need to be".
RD said, "That's ok but come back sometime to see me".
Well it seems it rained a lot that spring and for that I have no regret.
For if it wasn't for all that rain, a good friend I may not have met.
Yes, at first he looks like just another old fart.
But underneath all the gray hair is a man with one big heart.
His life is sometimes troubled, I see when he's in pain.
That's when I stand tall beside him to try to ease his strain.
Through this friend I have I have met so many others.
We come from all walks of life but ride together as brothers.
As much as I hate the rain, you may be surprised to hear me say.
That I am very thankful for One Foggy Rainy Day.
